HAWAI'I NEEDS YOUR HELP TO SAVE HO’ONA

EnviroWatch has uncovered an environmental nightmare currently taking place near Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. The situation reeks of political abuse by Governor Ben Cayetano’s administration in the name of economic and technological progress, and our efforts to discuss the issues with government officials is getting us nowhere. Our letters and questions to Mr. Mike Wilson, Chairman of the Department of Land and Natural Resources, resulted in bullying threats and an investigation of our organization. The Governor’s Liaison for Hawaiian Affairs initially advised us that the Governor would like to work the issues out quietly, but after receiving EnviroWatch’s letter outlining recommendations for addressing the problems, The Governor’s aide, Mr. Apoe, told EnviroWatch to "stay the *@&# out of this matter and stop using Hawaiian issues to make trouble".

If you are interested in learning more about this matter, and would like to assist us in letting the Governor know that people are concerned about the Hawaii’s environment and historical sites,
