PAGAN ISLAND IN MARINE'S SITE

June, 2013:   They're at it again.  We tried saving Farallon de Medinilla from live fire bombing back in 1998.  In 2002 a court ruling ordered the U.S. Navy to stop the bombing until the Dept. of Defense came into compliance with the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. However, in 2003 the Navy was granted an exemption by the U.S. Congress.  Now the U.S. Marines are targeting Pagan Island.   Read about it here.

IS YOUR POKE SAFE?

Imported fish is treated with carbon monoxide to retain the bright red color in older fish.  Shipments of fish that looked fresh but contained salmonella  poisoned a cluster of 37 people early last year.  How safe is your fish.
