KO OLINA BOAT RAMP CLOSURE

In January, 2006, EnviroWatch, Inc's President, Carroll Cox, presented testimony to the Hawaii State Land Use Commission regarding Ko Olina Resort's compliance with the conditions of Finding of Fact.  As some of you may know, EnviroWatch has led the fight against Ko Olina Marina and Resort's closure of the public boat ramp.  Based on our testimony and  other public comments, the Land Use Commission postponed any decision and will schedule another hearing  on this matter.

LAND USE COMMISSION MEETING - Feb. 2, 2007           AUDIO CLIP

Click on the AUDIO CLIP link to hear testimony.  The clip is a portion of the State Land Use Commission Meeting held on February 2, 2007, regarding the State's report for Item A83-562 West Beach Estates *Ko Olina Resort and Marina*.

The first speaker on the clip  is a Ko Olina representative giving testimony before the L.U.C. regarding a status report and compliance.  For approximately two years EnviroWatch Inc has worked with local fishermen to have the boat ramp at the Ko Olina Marina Resort replaced and reopened to the public.  We are encouraged by some of the Commission member's response.  Listen to the audio link to hear their statements.  The return of the Ko Olina boat ramp is possible!
